TekWissen Group is a workforce management provider throughout the USA and many other countries in the world. Our Client is an online travel company, enabling users to access a wide range of services. The Company offers airline ticket bookings, hotel reservations, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages and various attractions and services via the world wide web and telephone travel agents. It owns and operates several international global online travel brands, primarily travel fare aggregator websites and travel metasearch engines.

Job Description: 
 

  • Contribute to Client's Revenue Management tool for hoteliers and vacation rental owners. Specific relevant technologies include: 
  • Backend: Java 8+, Spring Framework, RxJava, Spock, Mockito, Junit, MongoDB, Redis, Hystrix 
  • Frontend: React, Redux, Typescript 
  • Data Pipeline: Scala, Spark, Hive, AWS S3 
  • We are looking for a full-stack developer with an emphasis on backend experience. 
  •  The ideal candidate will have experience in all listed areas, but we will interview candidates with adjacent experience or conversational knowledge with a proven track record of learning new technologies. 
  • The team consists of about 8 engineers. We follow an agile practice including daily standup, semiweekly envisioning/grooming meetings, biweekly retros, and weekly team meetings. 
     
     

General Responsibilities:  

 

  • Design, develop, debug, and modifies components of software applications and tools.  
  • Drive technical direction at the application/product level for small to mid-sized projects.  
  • Design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature (typically 1-3 months in duration).  
  • Provide alternative solutions to a given problem. 
  •  Resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if required. 
  •  Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.  
  • Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. 
  •  Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.  
  • Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff.  
  • Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components.  
  • Participates in and provides input to requirements definition.  
  • Usually provides solid judgment calls and tradeoff analysis.
