Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze operational and analytical data requirements by working with business and applications teams
- Identify and profile data quality and data curation methods for different data sources,
- Analyze data privacy and confidentiality requirements, data retention requirements, data residency requirements, and data archival
- Evangelize the use of data quality metrics and best practices from ingest to delivery
- Minimum 8years experience in information management, data warehousing, and analytics technologies.
- Minimum 8years experience in Considerable knowledge with analysis, design, and development of data warehouses working with large data repositories and/or relational databases.
- Minimum 8years experience in Considerable knowledge and experience working with business intelligence tools
- 8years of experience in Considerable knowledge and experience working in Oracle and UNIX environments
- 8years demonstrated exceptional analytical skills as well as an ability to communicate and translate business needs into solutions
- 7years of Knowledge and experience working in SQL Server environments Desired
- 7years of experience with scaling and performance tuning of database applications
- 7years of expertise with Database Modeling, designing Relational Databases, performance optimizations, and creation of Stored Procedures
- 8years of experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) – Both Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML)
- 8years of experience in strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- 8years of experience with industry-standard information protection, data security guidelines; secure coding techniques & best practices.
Skills:
- Broad understanding of Data Warehouse design, build, and implementation tasks.
- Deep technical understanding of Data Integration & ETL development, performance tuning, and best practices (Informatica PowerCenter required up to 9. x, other tools a plus)
- Deep understanding (both frontend and backend) of Oracle.
- Hands-on experience on Stream sets/Kafka, HDFS, MPP Databases is a must
- Exposure to public cloud
- Hands-on experience in Data Architecture and dimensional modeling
- SAP ERP/BW, SFDC, or Greenplum systems experience a plus.
- Ability to review existing ETL Designs and recommend Tuning Improvements
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Informatica IDQ/MDM a plus
- Unix scripting is desirable
- Control-M experience is a plus
- Excellent Written & Communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
