Job Description

Role Overview:

Currently seeking an experienced Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) responsible for designing, developing and scripting automated test content for client software applications across the Dell Client Validation Portfolio. This individual will be engaged across multiple global test and development teams to automate Windows/System software applications.  

Responsibilities:

  • Designing test cases, executing test cases and covering all software test activities
  • Develops test automation scripts working with Validation and Engineering Program leads
  • Develops SW automation test approaches and applies for new SW applications
  • Works with other Validation global teams to drive and implement best practices and Influence SW designs for Validation
  • Reviews and challenges current test plans, coverage, and testing activities to drive both increased effectiveness and efficiencies across the SW portfolio 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Engineering degree or equivalent in a computer-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of software validation test experience
  • 2+ years of strong software development or validation test automation exp
  • Proficient in Python, Robot Framework, C#, Selenium, and exposure on Appium & API’s
  • Experience in UI and Windows applications Automation and related auto frameworks
  • Proven experience in test scripts design and automation scripting, code version control
  • Experience with Agile delivery model along with Functional, Integration, Usability testing
  • Expertise with manual test case design, execution, and defect tracking
  • Proven knowledge of industry software test and development methodologies and tools
  • Experience with Operating System architecture including both Windows or Linux environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict management experience
